3 Pets found today

It must be the nasty weather -- we've had two calls on the Hotline today from neighbors who've found pets.

Daniel Kaplin, owner of Sweet Life Donuts at Jupiter and Northwest Highway, called to report finding a male German Shepherd puppy in their parking lot this morning. The puppy looks to be about 5 - 6 months old and he was wearing a black leather collar with rhinestones. He was in good shape, well groomed and friendly. The pup may be a mix; he's tan with black markings and has some white on his chest. They dropped the dog off at the downtown Dallas Animal Shelter this afternoon -- please contact the shelter ASAP if you know who might own this dog. FYI -- the shelter checked and the puppy did not have a micro-chip.

BJ James on Park Highlands called to report that her roommate found 2 small terriers (she thinks they are Yorkies) in the middle of Plano Road, near Walnut Hill, about 1:00 this morning. One is wearing a collar, but no tags. Both are well-groomed and in good condition. She is fostering them for now -- please call or email Petwatch immediately if you know who may be missing these dogs.
