February 28, 2007

We realized that it is difficult to recognize animals based on descriptions alone. Soon we will be able to link you from this newsletter to a photo blog website that will allow you to see photos of lost and found animals. We hope to post all the details in the next bulletin!

FOUND
Today, Wednesday 2/28: a Black and White Border Collie Mix was found and is currently being contained in the founder’s backyard. The dog is approx 20-25 lbs and has white markings on front feet, chest and tail and it is wearing a green collar, no tags. One lead said she heard a lawn service was looking for a lost dog. If you know what lawn service this might be or if this sounds like your dog contact Petwatch at http://mail.yahoo.com/config/login?/ym/Compose?To=petwatch@highlandmeadowsna.org or call the PetWatch Hotline: 214-967-5210.

On Saturday 2/24 a 75lb black male dog was found on Northlake near Easton. He looks to be less than a year old and possibly a Great Dane or lab mix, mostly black with a little white on his chest and the of his tail. He is neutered and looks to be very well taken care of. Please contact his founder, Samantha, at (214) 341-0379 http://us.f318.mail.yahoo.com/ym/Compose?To=smt3581@hotmail.com&YY=65491&y5beta=yes&y5beta=yes&order=down&sort=date&pos=0&view=a&head=b with any information that would help reunite him with his family. SIGHTINGS
Monday, Feb 26 a Black and White collie was seen on Paddock Circle heading towards Hackney.. thinks it was a Medium Black and White Border Collie, possibly wearing a light blue collar. (We think this may be the same dog that was contained today.)

IN NEED OF A HOME
Deja is a female Chow mixed, between 9 months and 1 1/2 years that was found at Alpha and the Tollway. The founders rescued her from the freeway but cannot keep her. She's approx.30 -35 pounds with slate grey/amber eyes, very sweet and kind, and seems to be a quick learner. No collar and not micro-chipped. If you or would be interested if giving this animal a good home contact Mary at 817 629 9012 or marymakeup@gmail.com

Medium size lab mix needs a home. Izzy was found around White Rock Lake in October. She has been spayed and vaccinated and is ready for a good home. Izzy is approx. 1 yr old, house trained, crate trained and has a lot of energy and love. She loves long walks and is a quick learner.
