Success Story

Barbara at Cactus and Flicker called on Monday to report a young, male, medium-sized chocolate lab hanging around her neighborhood. She had seen him several times, and noticed that he was wearing a collar and tags, but he was so skittish that she could never get up to him. She called yesterday morning to report that she had secured him in her yard, but he was still very afraid, and she was being careful about approaching him. She called again later to advise that her neighbor had come over with her dog, and they were able to get close enough to read his tags. Barbara contacted his owner and learned that he had been missing for about a week. He had been abused by his former owners, and he had roamed a long way from his new home -- he lives on Chesterton near Lake Highlands Junior High. He was reunited with his family late yesterday.
