Sick animal in the neighborhood

Leslie reports - There is a yellow tabby which has been coming to our house for some time to sleep in the bushes during the day. Saturday we saw him in the bushes, and he was very lethargic with discharge in his eyes and flies on him. We called animal control at 311 to report it, and they sent somebody out to pick him up. He bolted when animal control got there, and they couldn't catch him. They said he is very sick and they will need to set a trap for him. He was last seen early Saturday evening at our house at McCree and Fern Hollow. If he turns up in anyone's yard, please call 311. The lady from animal control said he could have rabies or distemper.
