Jake the Rotweiler needs some help - Repost

Katherine on Quail Run adopted Jake the Rotweiler about 4 years ago. Jake became somewhat notorious as he roamed our neighborhood and the Dixon Branch area for about 8 weeks before Katherine coaxed him into her neighbor’s yard. Since he evaded capture by Animal Control numerous times and the traffic on Northwest Hwy on a daily basis, Katherine considers him to be her miracle dog.

Unfortunately, Jake needs another miracle – when he started limping several weeks ago, Katherine took him to the vet and discovered that he had bone cancer. As a result, one of his front legs had to be removed. Jake’s a real trooper and he’s already learned how to balance on 3 legs. He’s doing very well and his prognosis is good, but he also needs chemotherapy to ensure all of the cancer is gone. His surgery was very expensive, and chemotherapy will require additional funds.
