It was a great weekend for Petwatch!

Thanks to some very caring neighbors, we had THREE success stories over the weekend!

First of all, the stray white dog that has been roaming our neighborhood for about a week was captured on Friday by Kathryn and Byron. He had roamed over NW Hwy into Old Lake Highlands. The Petwatch group there sent out some emails about the situation on our behalf, and several neighbors called with reports of sightings. Special thanks to Lee on Classen, who loaned Kathryn her yard to entice the elusive pup inside.

Byron is fostering the dog, who they're calling "Wiley". He went to the vet this morning, and is in pretty good condition, considering how long he roamed the streets. He's heartworm-negative, and is gradually becoming accustomed to being handled and walked. We'll take some pictures of him tomorrow and distribute them in hopes of finding his owner.

Second, Emily on Capri lost her Basset Hound on Friday evening. Tim on Bicardi found the dog later that night. The pup had a city tag, but the office was already closed when Tim called to get the owner's info. Emily called Petwatch to report her dog missing, and the two were very happily reunited on Saturday morning.

Third, Brook on Rolling Rock lost her golden retriever "Sarge" when someone broke into a storage unit in her backyard early Saturday morning. Fortunately, Theresa, about 3 blocks down on Rolling Rock, saw Sarge wandering around and kept him on her porch until Brook came to get him early Saturday afternoon.

We're all very fortunate to live in Highlands Meadows!
