Dogs dumped in Highland Meadows

Debbie reported a very sad story last night - "my mother, who lives in the 8500 block of Hackney, watched 2 dogs being let out of a white Mitsubishi sportscar in the alley (behind her home). The driver was a blonde woman, appearing to be under 35 yrs old. She opened her door and let out 2 large dogs, approx 50 lbs each and drove away. The 2 dogs were a German Shepherd mix, and (probably) a Golden Retriever mix. My mother called 911, they sent her to 311, and 311 told her Animal Control may come out tomorrow."
